Case Study: Coramarc.ro

An eCommerce Platform Built for Automation, Scalability, and Cost Reduction

Project Context

Coramarc.ro is the online store of a local footwear brand based in Galați, Romania.
At the outset, daily operations were heavily dependent on manual work: inventory management in Google Drive, manual AWB generation, individual customer emails, and complex product variation handling.

The objective was clear:
to build a platform that automates critical business processes, reduces reliance on human resources, and enables scaling without increasing operational costs.

Instead of using a traditional CMS, I chose to develop a custom solution, designed around architecture, performance, and full process automation.

Architecture and Technical Stack

The platform was built end-to-end with a focus on stability, extensibility, and full operational control:

  • Backend: Java Spring Boot, Model–Service–Controller architecture
  • Frontend: Next.js
  • Admin Panel: Custom-built in Next.js
  • Transactional Emails: Thymeleaf
  • Infrastructure: VPS (Ubuntu), low operating costs
  • Marketing Integration: Product feed optimized for Canva Bulk Create

The architecture was designed to ensure:

  • data consistency,
  • automatic inventory synchronization,
  • predictable order processing,
  • elimination of dependency on third-party plugins.

Implemented Automations

All repetitive processes that previously required manual intervention were fully automated:

  • Automatic AWB generation immediately after order placement.
  • Automated transactional emails including AWB, tracking link, and commercial documents.
  • Automatic SKU and variation generation (color, size) when adding new products.
  • Inventory synchronization between the physical store and the online shop.
  • Order cancellation from the admin panel, including reason selection and automated customer notification.
  • Product feed for Canva Bulk Create, enabling automated generation of social media creatives directly from the catalog.

Operational Impact

Efficiency

  • Complete elimination of manual AWB generation and customer email handling.
  • Adding a new product: under 1 minute, with all variations and SKUs automatically created.
  • Reduction of daily administrative operations to a single fulfillment operator.

Cost Reduction

  • Over 6,000 RON saved monthly by eliminating repetitive labor and paid plugins.
  • Infrastructure cost: ~10 EUR/month (VPS).
  • The platform effectively replaced a full-time operational role.

Scalability

  • Support for 1,000+ concurrent users without performance degradation.
  • Architecture designed for growth: easy integration of new channels, additional automations, and logistics workflows.

Business Value

Coramarc.ro operates as an autonomous operational system:

  • processes orders without human intervention,
  • generates logistics documents automatically,
  • keeps inventory synchronized,
  • communicates with customers automatically,
  • significantly reduces administrative costs.

The initial investment was recovered in less than eight months, purely through savings generated by automation and internal process optimization.

Conclusion

Coramarc.ro demonstrates how a technically well-architected platform can transform an online store into a self-operating system.

Through solid architecture, automation, and full control over business workflows, the solution not only reduces operational workload but creates a real competitive advantage:
lower costs, more time for growth, and a sustainable scaling model.

The right technology does not merely simplify processes.
It transforms how a business operates.
